The course is 5000 meters (5km) long. This is an official UKA race measured course. The course consists of entirely tarmac pathed surfaces (apart from one 50 yard mud section and crossing the finishing line over grass). The course is once across the middle of the park and then 2 and a half laps around. Dependent on availability marshalls will be at all the most important parts of the course. There will also be chalk sprayed HPTT stenciles and arrows to ensure you know the way around the course!
Please remember that HPTT uses shared paths within HydePark. For the continued success of the event, please keep to the left and give way to other park users. This won't hurt your time, it won't stop you from getting a PB and it will make sure everyone continues to to enjoy HPTT.
Please use public transport wherever possible when attending HPTT.
Wood house Road adjacent to Hyde Park forms part of many bus routes and there are numerous bus stops around the park.
Please ensure that if you are driving you park around the raods of the main University Campus before the residential roads surrounding Hyde Park. At the crossroads where the start is you can access the University Campus and surrounding roads. If you must park in the residential roads surrounding Hyde Park please ensure you park in designated areas. Please refrain from double-parking, parking up to junctions and parking on footways. It's not only undesirable, it's dangerous.
