parkrun organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in.

These events take place in pleasant parkland surroundings and we encourage people of every ability to take part; from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians; from juniors to those with more experience; we welcome you all.

Our sponsors spend a considerable amount of time understanding parkrun before becoming a partner. This is vital because parkrun is unlike any other organisation. Our weekly, free, 5k timed events are designed to be simple. We therefore keep our footprint at our events very low.

So successful have we been, that our sponsors' representatives can often be found running a parkrun.

We'd be delighted to work with you to set up and manage a parkrun event in your own backyard. All that you need to start this wonderful journey is some determination and drive. We will help you with the rest of the process offering a step by step guide, assistance and support.

Don't believe us? Why not ask any of the existing events for a reference? Each event is independently managed and controlled by the event director and so their reference is very important.
