Three new parkruns to introduce this week!

Welcome to Meshchersky parkrun in Russia, Mt Penang parkrun in Australia and Comber parkrun in Northern Ireland.

There is a bit of history associated to our newest Russian parkrun. Meshchersky is a princely family whose title was recognised by the Russian Empire. The family descends from the medieval independent rulers of the Meshchera tribe. Their title of prince was confirmed by the Emperor Paul I of Russia on 30 June 1798. You can find Meshchersky parkrun on the South Western outskirts of Moscow.

Unfortunately we can’t find a comparable history for either Mt Penang or Comber parkruns. But, that does not mean they aren’t special too. Mt Penang can be found in New South Wales near the Gold Coast and Comber is a small town in County Down, Northern Ireland.

Welcome and good luck to all the new volunteers and we hope all new participants have a great parkrunday.

Its our tenth anniversary this year and we would like you to submit your photos for consideration to be published in a coffee table book at the end of the year. You can find the link to submit your photos and story from your profile page.
