Since my last post on the parkrun news page on 21st June we have started 8 new events. This weekend we bring your four more new diamonds.

On the 28th June we started Cannibals Cave parkrun in South Africa. This event is aptly named after a historical event that you can read up on here.
That same week we also launched Cheadle Hulme parkrun & Great Notley parkrun in the UK and Mornington Peninsula parkrun in Australia. We also welcomed Waterstown parkrun in the Republic of Ireland. Our final new event for that weekend, the sixth new event was Little Stoke junior parkrun also in the UK.

That little flurry brought us to July when we kicked the month off to a good start with two new events: Izmaylovo parkrun, our forth event in Russia, St Helens parkrun in the UK.

This weekend Noosa and Pittwsworth parkruns will be popping up in Australia, Stavropol parkrun slithering into existence in Russia and finally our newest junior parkrun launching in Cambridge.

We’ve been a busy lot these past weeks. We will add another 13 new events before we close out July and another 22 new events in August, a time when a number of us will be on vacation. What a fabulous job done by the team.

Thank you to everyone involved in creating and managing these new events. Its a team effort and your contributions are valued. Good luck to all the new teams too.

Have fun
